Building young athletes through structured training and genuine passion for the game
Baciqi started in 2016 when three UEFA-licensed coaches in South London noticed a gap in quality youth football training. Children aged 5-14 needed more than weekend matches. They required structured skill development, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning appropriate for their age groups.
We established our first training ground near Tooting Common with 18 children. The approach was straightforward: small groups of 8-10 players, age-specific drills, and coaches who understand child development. Within two years, we expanded to three training locations across South London, working with 120 young players.
Our programme runs year-round with sessions three times weekly. Each group trains for 90 minutes, focusing on technical skills, tactical awareness, and age-appropriate physical development. We maintain a 1:10 coach-to-player ratio, ensuring each child receives proper attention and feedback.
Training sessions follow the FA Youth Development curriculum, adapted to individual group needs. Six-year-olds work on basic ball control and spatial awareness. Thirteen-year-olds develop positional play and game reading skills. All groups include match scenarios, but technique comes first.
We work with children who want to improve their football skills, whether they aim for professional academies or simply enjoy playing. The focus remains on proper technique, understanding the game, and developing athletic abilities safely.
Each player receives quarterly assessments covering technical skills, tactical understanding, physical development, and teamwork. Parents get written feedback and can discuss their child's progress during scheduled consultations. This system helps us adjust training plans and set realistic development goals.
Since 2016, 34 of our players have joined professional academy programmes at clubs including Crystal Palace, Millwall, and AFC Wimbledon. However, most children train with us to become better players while enjoying team sports and staying active.

All our instructors hold UEFA coaching badges and have worked with youth academies across England. Each coach brings between 8 and 15 years of experience in player development, ensuring your child receives proper technical instruction and mentorship from professionals who understand the game at competitive levels.
We organize training sessions according to age brackets from 5 to 16 years, with groups of 12-15 children maximum. This structure allows coaches to tailor drills and exercises to match developmental stages, ensuring each player receives attention suited to their physical and cognitive abilities.
Training takes place three times weekly during term time, with sessions available on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. We offer make-up sessions for missed training and adjust the timetable during school holidays, making it easier for families to maintain consistent attendance throughout the year.
Our training facility sits in Wandsworth, easily accessible from Tooting, Balham, and surrounding areas via public transport or car. The venue features full-size pitches with proper drainage, floodlighting for evening sessions, and covered areas for shelter during inclement weather, ensuring training continues year-round.
Every coach maintains current DBS certification and first aid qualifications. We follow FA safeguarding protocols, maintain proper insurance coverage, and conduct regular equipment inspections. Parents receive detailed safety guidelines and emergency contact procedures at registration, with staff trained to handle medical situations appropriately.
Each player receives quarterly assessments covering technical skills, tactical understanding, physical development, and attitude. We provide written reports to parents detailing strengths and areas for improvement, with specific recommendations for practice at home. This systematic approach helps children see their advancement and stay motivated.
We arrange friendly matches against other local academies twice monthly, giving players opportunities to apply training in competitive settings. For those showing strong commitment, we organize participation in regional tournaments during school breaks, exposing them to different playing styles and helping them gain confidence in match situations.
Our curriculum incorporates age-specific conditioning exercises that build strength, speed, agility, and endurance without risking injury. We use movement patterns that support natural growth while teaching proper warm-up and cool-down routines. This foundation helps prevent common youth sports injuries and establishes habits for lifelong fitness.
Beyond technical training, we emphasize values such as respect, responsibility, and teamwork. Children learn to handle both success and setbacks constructively, support teammates, and communicate effectively. These lessons extend beyond the pitch, helping young players develop social skills and emotional resilience applicable in school and daily life.
Monthly fees of £95 cover all training sessions, with no hidden charges for equipment or facility use. We offer sibling discounts of 15% and flexible payment plans for families requiring them. Registration includes a training kit, and we provide loaner boots for children still growing rapidly, keeping costs manageable for parents.
